Through photos, Space Dogs narrates the documentary coverage of the iconic journey of the dog Kudryavka (Laika). She was recruited during the Cold War period when two visions of the world were competing for space conquest. Taking the shape of a science fiction story, this visual journey offers a documentary atlas of what constituted this odyssey. This is the first editorial exercise of a collection that promotes the appropriation of mass circulation images and how this gesture of recycling moves the story, once again, to travel among readers.
